MegaUpload – What The Entertainment Industry Doesn’t Understand

Oh what a month it has been, both last month and the start of this month has really been the biggest struggle of greedy douchy corporations vs consumers. All of our rights and freedoms as humans are so easily being taken away so corporations can continue to triple in profits when they are already sky high and almost no understanding of how the world works as a consumer and just assume every “pirate” is horrible.

I own well over 450 DVD’s and Blu-Ray discs and religiously go to Future Shop or Best Buy and pick up the newest movie that I enjoy every Tuesday (if there is one) as entertainment is my love and joy. I really can’t get enough of movies and TV shows. But to a movie industry or those who represent them really care? hell no, if I download a single movie tomorrow because I’m not sure if I want to buy it yet or not and they catch me.. boom upto 5 years in prison and $250,000 fine! Everyone within the entertainment and music industry is stuck in old times, you all fail to embrace the internet and make your contact available WORLDWIDE as the lack of said content to the world is the reason most pirate to begin with.

New South Park Censorship “201″

Hello Internet,

It annoys me to say that free speech appears to have almost come to an end after comedy central has completely altered the new South Park episode because it mentions “Mohammed” and they took it upon them selves to bleep out the entire ending of the show which Matt and Trey never intended upon. A Muslim activist group has made threats against both of them saying they will most likely be killed because of the way they portrayed “Mohammed”…

Comedy Central has since refused to re-air the episode and banned it from being viewed on southparkstudios.com.

It was a good episode and should be seen -> http://www.southparkstudios.com/guide/episodes/s14e06-201

Also, today Matt and Trey have put up a statement on the South Park studios saying “In the 14 years we’ve been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn’t stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn’t some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle’s customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn’t mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We’ll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we’ll see what happens to it.

Please let me know your thoughts!
